The Pleasant Valley School District Intermediate and Advanced Band students from LCS, MVS, and YAA The Off Beats will be marching in the annual Camarillo Christmas Parade Sat. Dec 14th @ 9 am.
Students must check-in with their band directors on the corner of Landen and Temple. Please remember, all of Temple Avenue is closed to traffic at 8:00 AM that morning. Las Posas is closed to traffic between Charter Oak Drive and Loma Drive at 9:00 AM. Give yourself plenty of time to arrive; traffic is very congested that morning.
Students are to wear long black pants and their band T-Shirts. No shorts. Please remember to wear comfortable walking shoes. Students will be wearing Santa hats.
If your student has his or her own Santa hat, bring it that morning. We will provide a Santa hat for students who do not have one.
Students can decorate their instruments with tinsel and bows. Make sure the decorations do not interfere with playing.
It takes approximately one hour to march the route. Remember your student will be done before the parade ends. Please pick up your students by 11:15 AM in front ofMonte Vista Middle School, 888 N Lantana Street, 93010. You can watch the rest of the parade at the corner of Carmen and Burnley. Remember that Carmen is closed to traffic between Burnley and Las Posas and you will not be able to park in the Community Center parking lot. Parking is available at Camarillo City Hall.
