On Tuesday, April 28, Monte Vista Middle School Music Director Trish Copsey received the Teacher of the Month Award.
Each year the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce Education Committee selects honorees to be designated “Educator of the Month” for the school year. The Chamber wishes to express its support for Camarillo teachers and for education, and wishes to encourage academic excellence by presenting these awards.
The award was presented in a ceremony at 3:30 pm in the Monte Vista library. Present were the MV Faculty, Camarillo Chamber of Commerce Education Committee members, many area dignitaries including Mayor Bill Little, PVSD Superintendent RaeAnne Michael, and Assistant Superintendent Kris DeVillers, Mr. Reese Copsey, and members of the SOKM Board. As well as numerous plaques and certificates, Trish received a “goody bag” of items donated by area business, such as gift cards to restaurants.
Congratulations to Trish for this well-earned award!
