Local Teen Band Donates $1,000

Local teen band Galvanized Souls filled local GS1music studio Rock City with their own sound on Saturday, January 11, wowing the crowd with their music but also raising $1,132 for SOKM!

The event marked the release of the band’s latest video of their song “Behind Green Eyes.”  The gala included a buffet, a non-alcoholic “cocktail” bar, lots of music, and fun.  As the video features a cat, Rock City was decorated in a cat and green theme.  The unique dessert was a cake made to look like a used litter box!

GS2Radio personality Ruben Jay served as the master of ceremonies for the evening. Music video director and producer Jared Sagal of Rockerrazzi Filmz presented the new video, as well as videos of the band’s songs “Shut You Down” and “Believe.”  The evening closed with a live concert by Galvanized Souls.

GS3Said SOKM President Karen Gatchel, “Thank you so much for the support of Save Our Kids’ Music by the Galvanized Souls and for helping us to reach a whole new audience! The band is awesome and we hope that they reach great heights! We would love to hear about future events where the band will perform … please give our heartfelt thanks to the band members and everyone involved!

Thank you for helping us to keep the music alive and for being instrumental in student success!”
